These Terms and Conditions apply to all kitchen and bathroom installation services provided by Artisan Kitchens and Bathrooms Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the client (“you”, “your”). Please read them carefully.

1. Definitions

Works: The kitchen and/or bathroom installation services described in our quotation.
Contract: The agreement between you and us incorporating these Terms and Conditions and the accepted quotation.
Quotation: Our written estimate for the Works, including any drawings or specifications.

2. Quotations and Acceptance

2.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless stated otherwise.

2.2 A contract is formed once you accept our quotation in writing (including email) and any required deposit is paid.

2.3 Quotations are based on the information available at the time and may be subject to change if circumstances differ on site.

3. Price and Payment

3.1 Prices are as stated in the quotation and exclude VAT unless expressly stated.

3.2 A deposit of 50% is payable before work commences.

3.3 Staged payments are required during the course of the Works, as set out in the quotation or otherwise agreed in writing.

3.4 Where we are supplying goods or materials, all goods must be paid for in full no later than four (4) weeks in advance of the agreed installation date. All advance payments for goods are non-refundable once goods have been ordered, as they are bespoke or allocated specifically to your project.

3.5 The balance is payable upon completion of the Works, or in accordance with the agreed stage payment schedule.

3.6 Payment of the final balance is due on the day of completion.

3.7 If any payment is not made when due, we reserve the right to suspend the Works immediately until payment is received in full. Any suspension may result in delays to the completion date, for which we shall not be liable.

3.8 Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

4. Variations and Additional Work

4.1 Any changes requested by you after acceptance of the quotation may result in additional charges and/or delays.

4.2 All variations must be agreed in writing before the additional work is carried out.

5. Client Responsibilities

5.1 You must provide clear access to the property and a safe working environment.

5.2 You are responsible for ensuring that utilities (water, electricity, gas) are available and in working order.

5.3 You confirm that you have authority to instruct the Works at the property.

6. Materials and Goods

6.1 All goods supplied remain our property until all works are paid for in full (see Clause 17 – Retention of Title).

6.2 Where you supply your own materials or fittings, we accept no responsibility for their quality, suitability, or delays caused by defects or missing items.

6.3 Where payment for supplied goods has not been made in full when due, we reserve the right to remove any unpaid goods from site, provided this can be done safely and without causing damage.

7. Timescales and Delays

7.1 Any start dates or completion dates are estimates only.

7.2 We are not liable for delays caused by factors beyond our control, including but not limited to supplier delays, unforeseen structural issues, or adverse weather.

8. Quality of Work, Completion and Snagging

8.1 We will carry out the Works with reasonable skill and care in accordance with industry standards.

8.2 Completion shall mean the date on which the Works are substantially complete and capable of normal use, notwithstanding the existence of minor defects or snagging items.

8.3 Snagging refers to minor outstanding items that do not prevent normal use of the kitchen or bathroom. Snagging items do not delay or prevent completion or final payment.

8.4 You must notify us of any defects or snagging issues in writing within 7 days of completion.

8.5 We will be given reasonable opportunity to rectify any agreed defects or snagging items.

9. Warranties and Guarantees

9.1 Our workmanship is guaranteed for [12] months from the date of completion.

9.2 Manufacturer warranties apply to goods and materials supplied and are subject to the manufacturer’s terms.

10. Damage and Liability

10.1 We will take reasonable care to protect your property but are not responsible for damage resulting from hidden or pre-existing issues.

10.2 Our liability is limited to the value of the Contract, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

10.3 We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

11. Health and Safety and Access

11.1 We will comply with applicable health and safety legislation.

11.2 You must keep children and pets away from the work area at all times.

11.3 You grant us, our employees, and subcontractors the right of reasonable access to the property during normal working hours to carry out the Works and, where necessary, any remedial or snagging works.

12. Cancellation

12.1 You have the right to cancel this Contract within 14 days of acceptance if the Contract was agreed off-premises or at a distance, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

12.2 If you cancel after work has commenced, you will be liable for work completed and materials ordered.

13. Termination

We may terminate the Contract immediately if you fail to make payments when due or otherwise materially breach these Terms and Conditions.

14. Complaints

Any complaints should be raised in writing as soon as possible so we can attempt to resolve them promptly.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with the quotation, constitute the entire agreement between the parties.

17. Retention of Title

17.1 Legal ownership of all goods supplied by us shall remain with Artisan Kitchens and Bathrooms Ltd until payment for all work has been received in full.

17.2 Until ownership passes, you must keep the goods in good condition and must not sell, dispose of, or encumber them.

17.3 We reserve the right to enter the property at reasonable times to recover unpaid goods where payment has not been made, subject to applicable law.
